Our bespoke training courses and workshops will be tailored to your industry sector and, if you would like, to your business.  Your staff are welcome to join us at one of our venues or we are happy to come to your offices to minimise the downtime for you.

introductory awareness training

Our introductory awareness training is ideal for introducing your staff to the basics of privacy, data and/or technology law. They will learn key terminology and understand how to apply the law in practice. If you choose our workshop – they will get hands on experience on bringing the law to life.

intermediate / advanced training

Our intermediate / advanced training is for those who know the basics but need a deeper understanding of the finer detail to be able to apply the law in practice. We commonly run this training as a workshop so your staff have the chance to effectively apply what they have learned in a training environment before putting it into effect in your business.

departmental specific education

Many training providers offer generic training, which does not always help those staff with specific business functions to apply the law. Take for example, call centre operatives or direct marketing departments – data protection law is the same in each case but the way it is applied and the significance of ancillary codes of practice and legislation differ significantly. Our training will allow your staff to gain knowledge and experience which is aimed at their specific discipline and which they can readily apply to their work.

senior management training

Experience tells us that people only take the law seriously if they work in a culture that encourages them to do so. This has to start at the top, but senior management generally don’t have time for the detail. This session is aimed at giving your senior people the headline information, a solid grasp of the risks – to them personally and also to the organisation – and concludes by agreeing a strategy with the management team which will be flowed down to the rest of the business.

contract & commercial awareness training

One of our most popular training sessions is our contract and commercial awareness workshop. It usually lasts a full day and is particularly aimed at non-lawyers who have responsibility for ‘doing deals’. The workshop is highly interactive and by the end of the day your staff will know what pre-contract issues they need to consider and will understand how to read what is in a contract (and, perhaps more importantly, what is not in the contract). They will also be able to spot unacceptable terms and will get hands-on opportunity to draft clauses and to negotiate a contract. We also provide each attendee with our comprehensive reference handbook to remind them of what they have learned.

elearning course development

We work with a number of businesses to develop modules for their eLearning programmes. We also maintain a watching brief on all of the courses we have worked on so that our clients know when it is time to update the content or the assessment elements.

conference & event speaking

We are often invited to speak at public conferences and sector and client events. We aim to make them relevant and engaging by using examples specifically geared to the particular industry sector and we focus on audience participation to get the maximum benefit for those attending.
